The Sigmund Thun Gorge in Kaprun is an impressive rocky gorge below the Kaprun Reservoirs. It stretches over 320 meters and is up to 32 meters deep. The gorge was formed by the meltwater of the glaciers in the Hohe Tauern and was created during the last Ice Age.
