Church from the first half of the 13th century. The first documentary data refer to a harmony between the Bishop of Coria, Don Sancho, together with his chapter, and the Master
Arias Pérez and the friars of the Order of Alcántara of the other, on the tithes,
first fruits and other rights in lands of the Order located in the bishopric of
Coria in the month of January of the year 1233.
In 1554, its interior was ordered to be paved with: "lime concrete soil."
In terms of its structure, little has changed in the building, with some
works in the 19th and 20th centuries.
