Embark on a moderate road cycling adventure from Kohler-Andrae State Park to Port Washington, a loop covering 50.6 miles (81.5 km) with a total elevation gain of 704 feet (214 metres). This route offers a varied landscape, taking you through charming historic downtowns and past serene natural settings. You'll pedal alongside hardwood woodlands, wetlands, and farmlands, enjoying views of the Milwaukee River and the expansive Lake Michigan. Keep an eye out for the distinctive Cedar Grove Windmill as you make your way, completing the journey in about 3 hours and 17 minutes.

The Ozaukee—Sheboygan Interurban Trail is free to use, setting it apart from many other state trails in Wisconsin. If you plan your ride during summer weekends, be prepared for potentially high traffic volumes on the trail. While the path is mostly paved, you might encounter some challenging elevation changes as you approach Port Washington. Also, be aware that certain sections within the broader Kohler-Andrae area could have unpaved surfaces.

This trail is recognized as a "Great Wisconsin Birding and Nature Trail," offering excellent opportunities for wildlife spotting, especially birds. You can also access the sandy beach and nature center located within Kohler-Andrae State Park itself, providing a perfect spot for a break or further exploration. The diverse scenery, from urban centers to natural preserves, makes this loop a standout option for cyclists in the region.
