Roman Catholic CHURCH BUILDING, built in 1939-1940 according to a design by the Amsterdam architect H.M. Martens on behalf of the Roman Catholic Zuiderzee Foundation in Warmond. The church is stylistically related to the architecture of the Delft School.
The church has a special urban development location on the curved south side of the Prof. G. Molierestraat, one of the main village greens in the center of Wieringerwerf.
The church was damaged in the 1945 flood. H.M. Martens restored the church in 1947 and added a choir with a five-sided apse at the rear (east side).
