The salt, which has a strong impact on the city center of Bad Soden, flows into the Kinzig not far from here, within sight of Salmünster. The salt rises on the edge of the Vogelsberg: one source stream near Hartmannshain, the other near Nieder-Moos. The combined streams then flow from the place Salz (!) About 19km to the confluence with the Kinzig.
