A completely isolated village where you would not expect to find such a huge Roman victory monument of Emperor Trajan (98-117 AD) over the Dacians (108/109 AD). A great museum. Be sure to visit it!! It is worth seeing and the sculptures of the marble frieze are very well preserved. The Tropaeum (victory monument) located outside is a 1:20 copy, built in 1977. The original was 40 m high and was a propaganda tool of the Romans against the Dacians (DECEBALUS = Dacian leader). Incidentally, in Rome on the Trajan Column (112/113 AD) 2500 figures are depicted on a spiral frieze 200 m long. It is about the victory over the Dacians, among other things, and the suicide of DECEBALUS (= Dacian leader) is also depicted. Trajan's Column is about 40 m high and also contains Trajan's urn, so it is also a tomb. It is hollow inside and has a spiral staircase with 185 steps.
