In 1910, a competition was announced for the construction of a church on a plot of land opposite the former town hall, in the west of the village. Architects from all over Switzerland submitted 160 projects. Eugene Yonner was awarded the contract. The church with its tapered bell tower was ceremoniously inaugurated. The building complex also includes the rectory on the western side.
In 1954, the interior was renovated by the Biel architect Leuzinger. The pulpit, communion table and baptismal font were made of concrete. To counteract the austerity of the interior, the nave was lined with wooden slats that formed a trapezoid. Stained glass windows: 6 stained glass windows (source: jura-vitraux.ch/saignelref.html)
