Best Hikes to Rock Shelter and Newhalem Creek Trail

Tips

  • The very short path is wheelchair accessible, only 1000 feet long and gently graded. As you walk along, you'll see 1,400 year old hunting camp sheltered by a large boulder along side Newhalem Creek. Interpretive signs and benches dot the way, in between moss and lichen that line the path.
