Best Hikes to Finstergrund Viaduct

Tips

  • On the disused railway line light (Piesau) - Ernstthal lies in the middle of the forest, the imposing Finstergrund viaduct, built in 1911-1913 from unreinforced stamped concrete. The viaduct is 197 meters long and up to 25.5 meters. On the track is now and then still trolley traffic with tourists, but basically you can walk over this bridge, but also from the bottom it is very impressive.

  • You can currently also walk across the bridge, but the route is to be made passable again

  • An impressive structure. At 25.5 meters high, the bridge offers a magnificent view of the valley.
