A memorial stone marking the Menka River, which directly gave its name to Minsk. The river is about 7 km long. In the village of Gorodishche it receives a right tributary - the Danube stream and flows into Ptich above the village of Strochitsa. Now Menka is almost dry and is a small stream, but even in sources of the 16th century it was mentioned as a river suitable for economic needs.

Менка ніколі не была суднаходнай ракой. Толькі вясной, калі ўзровень вады ўздымаўся, менчукі маглі спусціць па ёй свае гандлёвыя суды да Пцічы. Пціч трапляе ў Прыпяць, Прыпяць у Дняпро, а Дняпро – у Чорнае мора. Тым часам, менавіта рака Менка дала імя Менску, гэта гістарычны факт!
