Tips
I only rode a short distance on the cycle path, but I liked it. The Berkel route runs through unspoilt regions and repeatedly leads back in time. The Berkel rises in Billerbeck, at the foot of the Baumberge. It flows through Coesfeld, Gescher, Stadtlohn and Vreden before reaching the Netherlands. Via Eibergen, Borculo, Lochem and Almen it flows into the IJssel near Zutphen.
