The church stands on a raised platform in the western part of Glaubendorf.
The neo-Gothic complex with staircase, church square and supplemented wall was built in 1865. The underground stone base of the former cemetery wall dates back to the Middle Ages. The parish church was donated by the Kuenringers and, like that of their ancestral home Kühnring, is dedicated to Saints Philip and Jacob. The northern aisle and eastern choir corner tower, a former defensive tower with loopholes, have been preserved from the Romanesque choir tower church of the High Middle Ages made of ashlar stones.
