The "Karlstein" is a memorial and points to the merger of the two communities of Dettingen and Großwelzheim. This happened in 1975. The newly created community is called "Karlstein am Main". You are welcome to rest in the vicinity of the "Karlstein". There are two benches from which you can watch the passing ships and the people of the cyclists. The Dettinger Musikverein's "Main Serenade" always takes place here in June. The Karlstein town hall is not far from the KARLSTEIN monument.
