Luckily I read about it beforehand. There are an incredible number of dogs and sheepdogs. Definitely on the highway, very safe.

We passed through this place, precisely to avoid the highway, and no dogs (during the day in September). The service road that runs along the highway to the south was very quiet, we felt safer there than on the highway.
