The AVAN Natural Sciences Museum in Viso del Marqués, Ciudad Real, is a gem for nature lovers. Founded in 1988 by the Viseña Friends of Nature Association (AVAN), this museum is located in the old building that was the headquarters of the Town Hall. Its permanent exhibition covers a variety of topics:

“Manuel Gómez Ruiz” Lepidoptera Collection: See 1,756 butterflies from all over the world, a sample of the beauty of these winged beings.

Minerals, Rocks and Fossils: More than 900 pieces that cover all geological periods and continents. In the display cases, you will find minerals, rocks and fossils.

Flores de Cerca: A collection of 90 photographs donated by D. Alejandro Moyano.
