    Hiking

The Church Cave is a fascinating post-medieval site located on the east coast of the small island of Rona, off Skye. Inside the cave, you’ll find several rows of stones forming seating, a depression in the stone floor that served as a font, and an altar made of a short stone pillar. It is known as "Uamh an Fhuamhaire" in Gaelic, which translates as "Cave of the Giants". The natural cave served as a place of worship until the church was built in 1912.
