Kenwood Ladies' Pond is the only outdoor all-female natural swimming pond in the whole of Great Britain and is even considered unique in Europe according to some sources. It is open all year round – even in winter, London's most hardened cold-water swimmers gather here early in the morning. The pond is open to women and girls aged 8 and over (children between 8 and 15 years old must pass an on-site swimming test). For the summer months, online booking via the City of London Corporation is recommended (cityoflondon.gov.uk/things-to-do/green-spaces/hampstead-heath/where-to-go-at-hampstead-heath/kenwood-ladies-pond).
