Stolen place-name signs often can't be replaced quickly.
However, in order to continue to comply with traffic regulations in the meantime, the "built-up area," which stipulates a speed limit of 50 km/h, is indicated by the general name.
I just happened to read about it recently in the (local 😀) media.
