In the 1920s, Argonne Forest thrived as a bustling amusement park, named after the World War I battle fought by American soldiers, including park founder Null Hodapp. Hikers can spot hidden treasures like a crumbling dance floor, foundations of past buildings, and even remnants of streetcars that once served as park attractions.
