This beautiful sanctuary spans 3,621 acres and is one of the largest city-owned nature centers in the country.  The vast preserve includes prairies, forests, wetlands, the Trinity River, and Lake Worth. It is also home to an American bison herd, a keystone species for Texas Blackland prairies, that runs nearly 300 miles from the Red River in North Texas to San Antonio in the south. As you ride along this natural landscape, you can enjoy the solitude away from the busy city.
