"The 9th Heavy Artillery Regiment had been stationed in Włodawa since 1933, but before it was located here, it was merged from three different squadrons scattered throughout the then Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Its location was quite a challenge. Before the situation calmed down, three squadrons had to travel the battle route to find to places of permanent residence in peacetime to be stationed here in Włodawa - said Piotr Czyż during his speech.
