The cemetery in the Wehlheiden district is one of the largest and oldest district cemeteries in Kassel and was opened in 1833. It is divided into two areas: South of Sternbergstrasse is the so-called new part of the cemetery, while the old part is on Friedenstrasse. The half-timbered cemetery chapel can also be found there.
