The Porta a Selci is located on the Etruscan city wall and replaces the ancient east gate of Velathri. At the foundations of the ancient walls their old age is easily recognizable. Here began the Etruscan main road, the Decumanus. The road led to the west Velathris and ended at the West Gate.
