This trail offers a nice challenge for the first mile, with a steep incline to the Tule Elk Overlook. From there, the path levels out, with a delightful bench where you can enjoy stunning views of the San Joaquin Valley to the north and San Emigdio Canyon to the south. The trail is very exposed, so bring plenty of water, especially on hot days.
