For hundreds of years the idea of creating a canal system across Florida has been debated. Numerous studies were undertaken and work was begun, and stopped, multiple times under a handful of different U.S. Presidents.

Luckily for outdoor enthusiasts, the work that was completed has now been converted into a vast greenway across much of central Florida. The 110-mile long Greenway now offers users the chance to hike, bike, kayak, and horse ride through a natural wildlife corridor.
