The route dedicated to the escape and liberation of 96 British prisoners of war from the STALAG XVIII D camp in Maribor. The event is unique in the history of World War II due to the large number of freed Allies. The escape was organized by POWs Ralph F. Churches - Crow from Australia and Les Laws from England. On September 18, 1944, the British flew Dacota DC-3 planes from the Otok partisan airfield to the Allied base in Bari, Italy.
