Dorf Unterelldorf

Unterelldorf was first mentioned in a document in 1290, when the Würzburg bishop Manegold, among other things, pledged the tithe in "Eltdorf" to Karl von Heldritt.[2] The Tambach monastery office owned properties and fiefs in Unterelldorf. In January 1806, Count Joseph Carl took possession of the Tambach lands, to which Unterelldorf also belonged, as the imperial county of Ortenburg-Tambach. In October 1806, the county was mediatized. From December 1806 to 1814, Unterelldorf belonged to the Grand Duchy of Würzburg as part of the Tambach lands. After its dissolution, the Tambach court was assigned to the Main district.
