The Museum Forest and Environment, located on the so-called Ludwigshöhe on the edge of the Ebersberg Forest, is a natural history educational institution of the city Ebersberg.

The permanent exhibition covers about 300 m² of land with historical and ecological aspects of forest use. Part of the museum building is the living part of the "Jägerhäusls", an originally in the neighboring municipality of Kirchseeon Einflsthofes from 1740, which was translocated here. In the possession of the museum is a wooden library of the Benedictine monk Candid Huber born here. A pedagogical task is fulfilled by the environmental station attached to the museum. In the outdoor area, theme paths have been created that teach about biodiversity. Nearby is also the 36 meter high Ebersberg lookout tower. The museum work is supported by a support group founded in 2006. (Source wikipedia)

Unfortunately partially burned down at the end of 2019, but the inventory was largely saved by the flames. The damaged building is currently being rebuilt.

If you are in the Ludwigshöhe area, be sure to visit the museum.
