The Easter eggs from Bukovina are true works of art. Easter eggs by our painters can now be found in various German museums (e.g. Dresden State Art Collections) and, for the last three years, in the British Museum in London. The Easter eggs are traditionally made from duck and goose eggs and painted with wax. The motifs are varied and refer to the symbolism of Christian Orthodoxy, the cycle of life, fertility and the annual cycle.
