Tips
With the commissioning of the 'Bestjoershûs', the building has regained its original function. The building was built in 1864 as the town hall of Wymbritseradeel. It became redundant due to the municipal reorganization of 1984. Wymbritseradeel merged with the city of IJlst to form Wymbritseradiel. A new town hall was built on Stadslaan in IJlst. The old town hall in Sneek was sold and served as a bank building for a while.
