Nils Dacke was a Swedish peasant and resistance leader from the southern Swedish province of Småland. He led the so-called Dacke Revolt against King Gustav Vasa, which was crushed by royal troops and German mercenaries. In 1543, he was seriously wounded at the Battle of Virserum.
