Farview Point is appropriately named because from this vista you can see mountains over 150 miles away in Utah and Arizona. The viewpoint is situated only 100 feet from the parking lot, and is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers.

Great view to the Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument.

An excellent vantage point for observing the various elements of the Grand Staircase is Farview Point at 2,688 meters. From north to south you can see the Aquarius Plateau (Pink Cliffs), the Kaiparowits Plateau (Grey Cliffs), Molly's Nipple (White Cliffs), and even a tip of the Kaibab Plateau, which is the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. These fantastic views result from the excellent air quality at Bryce Canyon. Even Black Mesas in Arizona, 160 miles away, and Navajo Mountain, 90 miles on the Utah-Arizona border, can be seen most days. The distant view to the south is only better at Yovimpa Point, which, however, hardly allows a view of the hoodoos so typical of Bryce Canyon.
