The Serra da Ossa walkways, inaugurated in April 2021 by the Redondo Municipal Council, are located in the town of Aldeia da Serra, in an area where water played a fundamental role in the subsistence of the hermit monks, who knew how to take advantage of it through canals, dams and water channels, to use it to irrigate vegetable gardens, as well as to power mills and watermills that are known to have existed here since the 14th century.
