A quiet road that leads through small villages, banana plantations and past cassava fields. The wide river of the Mekong can be seen from time to time. But the road is not asphalted until the turnoff to the Kuang Si waterfalls and is simply exhausting for loaded trekking bikes like ours. It is constantly up and down, with small but steep climbs. The track is extremely rocky and riddled with water ruts.

Cycling
Like others have said, it's a very bumpy gravel road, always going up and down. Very tiring but I would say the beautiful views of the Mekong and the lovely little villages it goes through make up for it. It's also very quiet, not many other vehicles here.
