We found it very impressive to look down from the hill at the Sunday River winding its way into the ocean. The vastness and solitude are impressive. Leave the car at the car park and make your way. The bushes didn't let us take the direct route because they were overgrown. Alternatively, you can walk directly along the water (river) to get to the sea and the dune - this is not marked as an optional route in Kommod and is determined by the tides/water level. The conditions will also change constantly... So we went back (as I forgot to record the tour, it has been added here afterwards...). PS: the beach mentioned on Google Maps by the car park is not a real beach (rather disappointing).
