Krabbesholm was originally called Skovshoved and arose from the Nørre- and Sønderskovshoved farms. After unclear ownership, it is certain that Iver Krabbe took over the farm in 1554 and immediately afterwards began building a new main building. It was completed around 1555, and the property thus came to be called Krabbesholm. Its current appearance is characterized by extensive changes in the 1750s. Since 1907, Krabbesholm College, now the School of Art, Architecture, Design and Visual Communication, has been located here. danskeherregaarde.dk/nutid/krabbesholm-midtjylland
