Set along the border of Montgomery and Howard counties, this park protects nearly 7,000 acres around the upper Patuxent River. The park built and maintains roughly 9 miles of trails, but many more "social" trails have been blazed by visitors. Be sure to follow your maps closely so you don't find yourself on a trail to nowhere.
