The palace in Mieduniszki Wielkie is unlucky. Although beautiful and impressive, it suffered from fires many times. It survived the turmoil of World War II and served in the times of the Polish People's Republic as part of the State Agricultural Farm. When, after the political transformation, it was supposed to regain its splendor and become an elegant guesthouse, it burned down again. Now it is just a ruin interesting for explorers.

eduniszki Wielkie (German: Groß Medunischken) - a village in Poland, located in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Gołdap County, Banie Mazurskie Commune. In the years 1975-1998, the town belonged administratively to the Suwałki Voivodeship. During the Germanization of local and physiographic names, the historically established German name Groß Medunischken was replaced by the Nazi administration with the artificial form Großmedien in 1938.
