It was built at the behest of the noble Cigola family starting from the 16th century, initially as a tower-house. The central body of the building, enlarged at the end of the 17th century, includes a portico with seven arches on columns. The western wing is due to an intervention in the second half of the eighteenth century, attributed to Giovanni Donegani. The wing adjoining the original tower-house was added in the early 19th century.
