A very beautiful, large (and somewhat unusual for our region) church in a not so large place

Here is the history of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Odranci:
The plan for the Church of the Holy Trinity was drawn up in 1946 by Plečnik's assistant, Ing. arch. Janez Valentinčič, univ. prof. from Ljubljana. However, the authorities at the time refused to grant a building permit, even confiscated all the materials for the new church and imprisoned the priest and church councilors.
As the church was not allowed to be built, the believers built a wooden church in 1950, which served as regular worship for up to 17 years.
In 1964, the building permit for the current church was granted. However, the authorities did not allow the construction of three bell towers, and many other things that would have made the church beautiful were eliminated. During the construction of the dome, an accident occurred on March 14, 1966, in which eight people died. The eight Odran faithful became the eight spiritual pillars of the Oder parish. In 2006, pillars in the church were named after these victims.
The Church of the Holy Trinity in the Oder is also valuable for the frescoes painted in 1968-1972 by the academic painter and priest Stane Kregar from Ljubljana. This is his largest work in terms of area (over 220 m² of painted area). The painting behind the altar was painted in 1995 by the academic painter Štefan Hauko.
The organ was built in 1997 by the Diocesan Organ Workshop in Maribor.
The wish of the priest Lojze Kozar and the faithful of the Oder was always that the church would be completed. In the jubilee year of 2000, when the Odran church was declared a pilgrimage church, hopes of the church's completion began to grow. In 2004, the bell towers were built according to the original plans from 1946 and the exterior of the church was restored.
