Mountain biking

You get to the actual Sattelpass if you follow the sign a little further to the K31 county road. In the Middle Ages and the early modern period, this pass was the most important crossing over the Thuringian Forest between Gräfenthal and Sonneberg. It is definitely more worthwhile to follow the "Sattelbergweg" from here to the Wildberg. In the opposite direction, the hiking trail R93 (Sattelgrundweg) leads down to the Sattelgrund by the bell tower.
