Definitely you are supposed to get a permit to cross here to Montenegro. This crossing is only for people from Bijelo Polje or Sjenica we were told. But the Serbian border guards were very nice and after a few minutes very polite and friendly discussion agreed to let the 2 of us in bikes across the border. They have no stamp for your passport. If you cannot prevail upon their goodwill it is a very long ride back up the 900m to the top, and then round to the other Serbian border crossing.

Attention! According to the information provided by the border guard, the border crossing is only for "locals" who are travelling to Montenegro. There is no exit stamp, so leaving the country here is prohibited for cyclists travelling from Serbia to Montenegro!
