Today on May 25th, 2024, the formerly closed off Zanders area was opened to pedestrians and cyclists. The passage, with its industrial charm, provides insights into an area that was always closed to many Göadbach residents. Worth seeing and also a nice way to bypass the not so pretty lower main road.

The former Zanders paper factory went bankrupt in 2021. Since May 2024, it can be crossed by bike. The disused paper factory is in the middle of being converted into a new district of Bergisch Gladbach. Since 2018, twelve different monuments on the site have been protected: from the historic administration and gatehouse building to a steam storage locomotive, the bust garden and industrial halls, some of which still have original technical equipment for paper production.
