Hiking
Explore the historic Kane Woods, where dogs are welcome on leash and no bicycles are allowed, ensuring a peaceful hike.
Trails here commemorate figures and events from the Whiskey Rebellion (1791-1794). Once owned by General John Neville, a close friend of George Washington, the land witnessed key moments in U.S. history. Neville’s Bower Hill mansion stood where Kane Boulevard is now, a site of conflict during the rebellion.
The peaceful trails today reflect a storied past of resilience and rebellion, offering a unique hiking experience steeped in American heritage.
