The old farmhouse, a Lower Saxon hall house from 1688, is the oldest house in Meyenburg. In these two-post houses, people and animals lived under one roof. The harvest wagons could drive through the "Grootdör" directly onto the clay-stamped floor. To the left and right of the "Deele" were stables for cattle and horses, whose manure was transported out through the two "Messendören". The people lived in the back part of the house and had the fireplace in the "Flett".
