This hut has magnificent views from the hut deck that overlook Lake Kaniere, Hokitika and out to sea.

Hiking
The hike to the hut is absolutely beautiful and very well signposted. Highly recommended in good weather.
But take the same route back. The other hiking trail shown here is partly very overgrown and difficult to walk on. I had to fight my way through dense bushes in places.
