The Kannon Hall was built by Mori Terumoto during the Genki era (1570-1573) and is designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
It has long been known as a place to pray for safe voyages, fertility, and safe childbirth, and inside the hall, the walls are lined with votive votive plaques depicting breasts.
