The Art Nouveau well was built in 1903 as a gift from Count Pavle Pejačević to Virovitica city of Osijek. The well was placed in the City Garden, where it occupied a central place until 1968, when, due to the repurposing of the City Garden, it was moved to the Upper Town on Cardinal Šeper's Promenade.
