Monte Abanico is a great mountain with a great view above Santiago. It is marked on the map at 2152 m, but it is probably a good bit higher. According to my barometer, the height is around 2341 m. The climb is not very demanding and the path is quite easy to find. However, you should not underestimate the considerable elevation gain you have to make from Santiago to here. You should also plan to bring enough to drink, as there is little shade in the entire area.
