This is Lychen, of course, not Prenzlau. A brilliant short circular tour leads across three lakes and practically through the middle of town. One passage for portaging uses the old waterway of the aforementioned mill (the mill wheel has been removed, of course) and also crosses under the main road. A second one can be found at the weir. There's also an old mill there. This loop is definitely a must-do. There are also several cafés along the way, accessible from the water.
